About Kingdom Home Improvements
We are a driveway and paving firm working out of Worksop and covering 47 towns across Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, South Yorkshire and Lincolnshire.
Most of our weeks are spent on driveways — block paving, resin bound and decorative gravel — lifting whatever is there, digging out to the right depth, getting the sub-base and the drainage right, and then laying a finish that suits the house rather than one that suits our diary.
Alongside the drives we take on patios in natural stone and porcelain, garden and retaining walls, artificial grass and full garden landscaping. For most customers that means the front and the back can be done by the same team, which is usually simpler and always tidier than juggling two firms.
Estimates and advice are free. We will come out, measure up, talk through the options and put a proper written price in front of you — and then leave you to think about it.
How we work
The preparation decides everything
Anyone can lay a block. What decides whether a driveway still looks right in ten years is the depth it was dug to, how the sub-base was compacted and whether the water has somewhere to go. That is where we spend the time, even though it is the part nobody sees.
A straight answer, even when it costs us the job
If the finish you have in mind is wrong for the property, the ground or the way you use the drive, we will say so and tell you why. We would rather talk you into the right job than take the money for the wrong one.
Clear from the start
You get a written estimate that sets out what is included — the excavation, the sub-base, the drainage and the finish — so there are no surprises halfway through and nothing quietly left out to make a number look better.
We leave it as we found it
Spoil taken away, edges finished properly, and the site swept and left tidy at the end. It is your home, not a building site, and it should not look like one when we drive off.
